March 1, 2018 Knights enter National Championship Tournament as no. 2 seed

For the seventh consecutive year, the Central Penn College Knights men’s basketball team has received a bid to the USCAA Basketball National Tournament. The Knights enter the tournament as the No. 2 seed, ending their regular season play with an 18-9 record. Six of the Knights' losses came against NCAA Division I opponents. Coming off an 11-game win streak, the Knights are once again a strong contender for the USCAA championship.

The Tournament will take place in Uniontown, Pa. and will feature the top 28 USCAA athletic programs from across the country. The Knights will play their first game at 2 p.m. on March 1 and will face the winner of the Warren Wilson College and Penn State Fayette first-round game.

At Tuesday night’s USCAA awards banquet at the Nemacolin Woodland’s Resort, Central Penn College’s Joel Zola was awarded USCAA First Team All-American status, while Wislene Verna and Jalen Burton were named USCAA Academic All-Americans.

You can follow along with all of the action using the championship website linked on the USCAA website under the championships tab for Men’s Division I Basketball, Men’s Division II Basketball and Women’s Basketball.
