December 6, 2018 LinkedIn 101 Workshop at the Lancaster Center

Looking to jumpstart your job prospects in 2019? Come to Central Penn College’s “Using LinkedIn 101” workshop and learn how to maximize this social media platform for optimal results.

This free presentation is open to the public and will be held at Central Penn College’s Lancaster Center on Tuesday, Dec. 18, 6–7 p.m.

“December is a great time to create a new LinkedIn profile or tune up an old one, especially if you’re looking to make a career change in 2019,” says Director of Career Services Steve Hassinger, who will conduct the workshop.

“Your LinkedIn page is one of the first things employers look at when reviewing candidates,” says Hassinger. “Getting your profile in tip-top shape can mean the difference between getting an interview and getting ignored.”

This hour-long presentation will teach attendees how to create a profile, build a professional network and search for job opportunities.

“I know December is a busy time of year,” says Judith Dutill, director of the Lancaster Center. “But January is the month when most companies ramp up their hiring, so when the New Year rolls around, you want to be ready!”

The workshop will be held in room 110 at the Lancaster Center, which is located off of Route 30 at 1905 Old Philadelphia Pike in the city of Lancaster. Light refreshments will be served.
