Faculty Who Care

Danell Frank
Faculty - Occupational Therapy Assistant

While teaching at Central Penn, what has been your biggest personal accomplishment?

My growth as a teacher. Having a background in therapy I have been teaching people & patients for 15 years. Being in a classroom is different from teaching in a clinic, but being able to adapt my teaching methods to suit Central Penn students has been one of my biggest accomplishments.

What is the biggest challenge facing students going into the field of occupational Therapy? How can students prepare to face this challenge?

Students who are entering the field of OTA will be faced with many challenges. The change of health care and insurances are quite challenging to any seasoned therapist. OTAs will need to be able to promote themselves and market their skills. Students who are outgoing, well spoken, and able to market themselves will be able to face any challenges along the way.

What would you say to a prospective "You can. You will." student considering Central Penn College?

Being a student here at Central Penn as well as working, I can honestly tell them that it will be a challenging time while they are in school but it is the most rewarding time of their lives. Once they are done and have their degree they will look back and be amazed what they have accomplished while they were here.
