Dr. Jeffrey Weaver

Academic Bio

Associate Professor Dr. Jeffrey Weaver has recently joined the Central Penn College family. Prior to Dr. Weaver joining the faculty team here, he was a assistant dean, School of Business for another university, where he was responsible for faculty development, training, staffing and program development. Dr. Weaver, has a 28 year background in the human resources field. Dr. Weaver has been teaching/training adults since 1990 and has been teaching at the collegiate level since 2005. Dr. Weaver, has a PhD in organizational leadership from Capella University, where he focused his dissertation on a comparative case study of US Army general officers and senior executive civilians of the US Army; where this population is comprised of less than 1% of the total US Army population, but make 100% of the overarching strategic decisions that impact the US Army personnel, worldwide. Dr. Weaver is a US Army veteran and retiree, after serving over 21 ye ars, bot h active duty and reserve status. Dr. Weaver also holds a Master’s degree from Central Michigan University in administration and a bachelor’s degree from Park University in human resource management. Dr. Weaver has been married for 25 years to his wife Rona, with two grown daughters and two young grandchildren.

Teaching Philosophy

Dr. Weaver believes in providing a student-centered approach to the learning in classroom. Students have the right to a guided understanding of the course materials with explanations, as needed.
