Academic Bio

John DeLeo is a professor of Legal Studies. Before coming to Central Penn, he practiced law in New Orleans, Lancaster and Harrisburg.

He is the author of three textbooks:

  • The Student’s Guide to Understanding Constitutional Law
  • Administrative Law
  • The Pennsylvania Paralegal

Professor DeLeo also writes articles on the legal profession and reviews and evaluates legal manuscripts.

Personal Bio

My wife, Teresa and I live in Wrightsville and we have a son, Ben.

Teaching Philosophy

I try to bring an excitement and enthusiasm about learning the law whether the setting is the traditional classroom or online. I bring interesting real-life cases and fact situations to the students to grab attention and to illustrate the legal concepts we are studying.
