Faculty Who Care
Stephen Campbell, LPTA
Instructor, Physical Therapist Assistant
As a PTA I have held positions in outpatient orthopedics, a hospital, and numerous nursing homes. Throughout my professional career, I have been involved in creating protocols for various conditions and post surgical interventions leading to consistent outcomes during patient care. I continue to practice in a hospital and various nursing homes in the Lancaster area.
Prior to becoming a PTA, I spent many years as a Sports Performance / Strength Coach. I have had the opportunity to work with many high-level athlets at the high school, collegiate, professional and Olympic levels. My experience there has helped me tremendously when observing the movements of the patients I treat.
Never stop learning. The therapy field is ever evolving and keeping up with evidence-based practice is huge for providing patients with the care they need. No matter who or what you are treating, remember to treat the person as a whole not just a part.
