Changing the Landscape

Campaign for Scholarships

Phase 3: Super Suites ▪ GOAL: $350,000

We are so appreciative of the donors who made Changing the Landscape Campaign for Scholarships Phase 1 and Phase 2 so successful with gifts exceeding $1,000,000 in scholarships.

Because less than 50% of scholarship applicants receive an award, we continue to look for new “investors” in our students’ success. We join the Education Foundation trustees in our excitement to share Changing the Landscape Campaign for Scholarships Phase 3: Super Suites.

The 33 Super Suites, open to first-year students, contain the most popular features in today’s college housing: single bedrooms, comfortable and modern furniture, technology ports and a roomy gathering space. In Central Penn’s case, touches of school colors, maroon and orange, are scattered throughout.

You are welcome to sponsor a fabulous Super Suite with a $10,000 pledge, payable over three years if you prefer. On the other hand, donations of all sizes strengthen the Education Foundation and provide opportunity for Central Penn students. Thank you.

Reasons for the Campaign

  • 91.4% of Central Penn College students require financial aid to remain enrolled.*

  • Less than 50% of applicants are awarded scholarships at the endowment’s current level.

  • A college-educated population is good for the economy. Investing in student scholarships is an investment in local communities as scholarship recipients overwhelmingly graduate on time, bringing newly-acquired skills to their hometowns.

  • Scholarship donors deserve prominent recognition on campus for their support.

*As of the Fall 2015 Academic Term Report.

How You Can Help

Please consider a pledge to this campaign. Gifts of all sizes create a powerful, cumulative effect that will help to reach this important $350,000 goal for student support.

This campaign gives donors the opportunity to provide scholarship funding for Central Penn students while receiving name recognition on a Super Suite, one of the newly renovated living spaces along College Hill Road that contain seven single-bedrooms, four bathrooms and a common area.

Each Super Suite can be sponsored for a $10,000 donation.

Please make your pledge using the attached form. For more information, contact Education Foundation Executive Director Matt Lane at 717-728-2263 or mattlane@centralpenn.edu
