Faculty Who Care
C. Jeffrey Goble
Assistant Professor, Criminal Justice Administration
I am an associate professor in the Criminal Justice Department. I received a B.S. degree in geology from Bates College and a J.D. from the University of New Hampshire School of Law (Franklin Pierce Law Center). Over the course of my professional career I spent: five years with an independent oil and gas company drilling wells in western Pennsylvania, West Virginia and New York; twenty-one years as a Special Agent with the Federal Bureau of Investigation; and seven years as Director of Special Investigations with the Pennsylvania Office of Inspector General.
The classroom environment allows the student to experiment with ideas and follow leads (as we say in the law enforcement community). There are times when those ideas and leads do not play out as anticipated. The student has to regroup and explore other possibilities, much like what occurs in the Criminal Justice and Homeland Security fields.
