What would you say is the most rewarding thing about teaching "You Can. You Will." students at Central Penn?

Central Penn College has many positive attributes, but I must say that I especially enjoy having the opportunity to unlock the potential that lies in all of my students. I am able to utilize my skills as a therapist in the academic setting with students who have a common desire for helping others through a career oriented educational experience. Being in the field of Physical Therapy is demanding yet very rewarding. There is no better feeling than when you can help someone else to achieve their goals.

What is your favorite Central Penn memory?

I have so many fond memories of Central Penn that it is hard to pick just one. But my most favorite time of year is the annual "Pinning Ceremony" that occurs every fall. The ceremony awards a pin to each "senior" in the PTA and MA programs. The pin symbolizes the accomplishment of the goal of completing nearly all of the required courses prior to going out on internship. During the ceremony, awards are given by the faculty for the qualities of perseverance, inspirations, and scholarship. The recipients are chosen by their classmates as each student being pinned votes for a student who has inspired them and a student that has exemplified perseverance in the program. The students with the highest GPA in each major then receive the scholarship awards. It is very moving to read the wonderful things that the students have to say about one another. The students truly develop the sense of being a "family" throughout their time here. In part because they spend so much time studying together. This event is a landmark in the student's educational pursuits, signifying readiness to go out into their respective careers.

While teaching at Central Penn, what has been your biggest personal accomplishment?
