Faculty Who Care

Dr. Lori Eberly
Professor, Physical Therapist Assistant

Academic Bio

In addition to my doctorate in physical therapy I have am also an ATC which indicates I am a certified and licensed athletic trainer. I have been teaching at the college level for over 11 years in the areas of health and wellness.

Personal Bio

My professional career includes teaching in the public schools for 23 years, working as an athletic trainer, a personal trainer, and an adjunct college instructor prior to going back to school to become a physical therapist. Wellness and health are my passion. After graduating from PT school I worked in the home care setting for two years and in the out patient setting for almost two years. My love of education brought me to Central Penn College.

Teaching Philosophy

My teaching philosophy is based on layering. I lecture to provide necessary base knowledge. Next, I add discussion to examine anything that may be unclear. Once we have some clarity it is time to apply the information using clinical examples. Finally, we evaluate the importance and use of the information in the professional arena. I enjoy conversing with students, sharing experiences, and teaching by example. A typical class time will include lots of activity and interactions with fellow classmates.
