Faculty Who Care
Assistant Professor, Business Administration
As a doctoral candidate at Immaculata University, I am fully immersed in fine tuning my skills as an educator. I have an earned graduate degree at the Master’s Level, in Business Administration. Additionally, I have 3 years of progressive teaching experience at Central Penn College, and 2 years of academic program development experience at Messiah College’s Harrisburg Institute of Urban Research and Development. Prior to entering academia, I spent 15 years as a Financial Advisor, where I facilitated courses required for state insurance licensure.
I am a wife and the mother of two sons. I've traveled to exotic places around the world, but still call a sleepy little port town in Connecticut 'home.' As a reformed "party girl," I've traded 'the club' for 'the dinner party.' I come from hard times ... but I have struggled and survived. I am passionate about rewriting a new legacy for the next generation.
I believe in the theory that people “remember more of what they hear, see and do.” My courses are designed to be multi-sensory, using a multi-modal approach. Students will use auditory skills listening to instructor led lectures while taking their own notes. Students will use visual skills reading assigned texts, reviewing PowerPoint slides & viewing relevant videos and films. Students will use critical thinking and interactive skills, deconstructing case studies and creating role play vignettes. If you are enrolled in my class, come prepared to be challenged, to be engaged, and to have fun.
