Patrick J. Hughes
What would you say is the most rewarding thing about teaching "You can. You will." students at Central Penn?
Instructing graduate students is incredibly rewarding. Be able to help students who are passionate and motivated to engage in the process of leadership to change others lives is exciting. Being there to experience when a student has an "AHA" moment is a wonderful thing.
What is your favorite Central Penn memory?
I don't particularly have a single memory but each graduation being with students is a great event that has created many memories for me. However, if i had to pick one it was be humbled and honored to be voted the faculty excellence award by the students and peers.
What do students like the most about the courses you teach?
My hope is that the students enjoy the interaction in class as well as how they can apply leadership and organizational concepts to the real world to impact positive change.
What would you say to a prospective "You Can. You Will." student considering Central Penn College?
For those entering graduate work recognize you were motivated enough to make a choice to further your education. Don't forget that if struggles present themselves during your journey. Success is measured by the journey not the destination.
