From the President: Phased-in Reopening Plans
Dear Students,
I hope your summer is going well and you are excited to start classes next week. With Cumberland and Lancaster Counties both in the Green Phase, we are pleased to share our updated Reopening Plans document for the Summerdale campus and the Lancaster Center. You can view it here.
In addition, this video playlist––featuring several cabinet members and department leaders––will give you an overview of what you can expect when you return to campus.
Gradual Phase-In
As you know from previous announcements, we will begin gradually phasing in residential students starting on July 5.
While the summer term will still be conducted online––except for Health Sciences classes with labs––all faculty and staff will begin the process of returning to the Summerdale campus or Lancaster Center throughout July and August. By Aug. 24, we expect both locations to be fully staffed.
During the next two months, Student Central will feature key excerpts of the reopening plans every week. If you have questions about the plan or suggestions for future articles, you can submit them anonymously via this form.
Our focus is on keeping everyone––students, faculty, staff and visitors––safe, as we reopen the Summerdale campus and Lancaster Center.
I look forward to seeing you on campus sometime soon.
Regards,
Dr. Linda Fedrizzi-Williams,
President of Central Penn College
