29 GIANT Company Team Members Complete Accelerated Management Certificate at Central Penn College
Central Penn College recently celebrated the success of 29 team members from the GIANT Company who completed the 18-credit Certificate of Completion in Organizational Management through the college’s Center for Workforce Excellence.
This specialized program, tailored to build on the team members’ work experience and leadership potential, was designed to empower professionals with key skills in management and organizational behavior. The six accelerated courses covered a wide range of topics, including individual growth, management and organizational behavior, organizational change management, and continuous improvement and operations management.
The completion ceremony for the program featured several distinguished speakers, including Dr. Jack Babinchak, a Central Penn College Professor and instructor for the program; Jennifer Scott, Vice-President, Chief Human Resources and Community Relations Officer at the GIANT Company; and Anthony Amadure, Manager of Talent and Learning at the GIANT Company. Each speaker praised the graduates for their hard work and commitment to furthering their careers through education.
Amy Dutton, an Asset Protection Associate for Region 141 at GIANT, spoke on behalf of her fellow graduates. In her speech, she highlighted how the program had been transformative for her and her peers, noting the value of the skills they had developed throughout the course.
“Our time in these classes has been particularly transformative,” said Dutton. “We delved into the fundamentals of leadership, teamwork, and strategic thinking—skills that will serve us well in any path we choose. We’ve learned the importance of effective communication, understanding markets, and managing resources. These lessons are not just academic; they are tools we can apply in real-world situations as we navigate our futures.”
Dutton also encouraged her fellow graduates to embrace change and continue growing as professionals. “The world is ever-changing, and it’s up to us to adapt and grow,” she added.
