It is the perfect intersection of athletics and entrepreneurship.
Sports management involves far more than just recruiting talented athletes. It also encompasses exercise science, accounting, psychology, sociology and more.
Careers in the sports industry, including athletic trainers, coaches, and athletic directors, are growing, according to the US Department of Labor, Bureau of Labor Statistics. Everything from restaurants to retail to ticket sales and talent management is impacted by the wide world of sports.
