6 Central Penn College Baseball Stars Earn Academic All-American Status
Six Central Penn College student-athletes were recognized for success in both athletics and academics, earning accolades as USCAA Academic All-Americans.
The baseball players — who also captured the Eastern States Athletic Conference championship earlier this month against Bucks County Community College — include senior Ryan Stevens, junior Zach Boyer, and sophomores Justin Miller, Owen Zell, Nick Fulton, and Dylan Younghans.
Zell also earned a USCAA All-American Honorable Mention; Nate Wise made First Team; and Boyer made Second Team.
“The USCAA All-American and Academic All-American honors are huge achievements for our student-athletes,” said Athletic Director Kasey Hicks. “It acknowledges their impact on the baseball field and in the classroom on a national stage. These students are high-impact players and high-achieving students who are well worthy of recognition on a national stage.”
“Having several student-athletes recognized from our men’s baseball team speaks to the quality of this program and its potential in the future. These players have the skill and the drive to do great things on the baseball diamond and in life,” Hicks added.
