Central Penn College Announces New Women’s Volleyball Coach, Jessica Dunbar

Central Penn College is excited to announce the addition of Jessica Dunbar as the new head coach of the women’s volleyball program. With an impressive playing career and a passion for mentoring young athletes, Dunbar is set to lead the team into a new era of competition and growth.

A 2019 graduate of Littlestown High School, Dunbar brings valuable coaching experience from the Black Rose Volleyball Club, where she has helped develop promising young talent. Now, she’s taking the helm at Central Penn, eager to rebuild and elevate the program.

“My goal as a coach is to not only help strengthen skills with each player but also teach them life skills that will go beyond the game,” Dunbar said.

Dunbar’s own volleyball journey is filled with accolades. She earned a bachelor’s degree in psychology from Penn State York, where she was a dominant force on the court. She led her team to two PSUAC championships and two USCAA national tournament appearances while setting records that still stand today. Dunbar is the only player in Penn State York’s history to be named PSUAC Player of the Year for three consecutive years, and she earned USCAA First-Team All-American honors twice. She also holds the school’s all-time records for points and kills.

Her commitment to the sport and her players extends beyond competition. Driven by a love for the game and a desire to give back to her community, she is ready to inspire and develop the next generation of Knights volleyball players.

Central Penn College is thrilled to welcome Coach Jessica Dunbar and looks forward to an exciting future for the women’s volleyball program under her leadership.
