COVID-19 Update: March 30, 2020
Dear Students, Faculty and Staff,
Central Penn College continues to follow the federal and state guidelines regarding social distancing in response to COVID–19. The Trump Administration announced yesterday that it has extended social distancing guidelines for all businesses, organizations and gatherings until April 30.
As a result, the new move-in date for the spring term is scheduled for Sunday, May 3. On-ground classes will return to the Summerdale campus and Lancaster Center beginning on Monday, May 4.
As you know, the situation involving the COVID-19 remains fluid. We will continue to provide updates and further information, as we get closer to reopening the campus. For new and current residential students, you will receive additional communication from the Director of Residence Life as the move-in date approaches.
Like you, I look forward to things returning to normal. I also know that right now we have to do what’s best for our family, our community and our country, and that means practicing social distancing.
During this disruptive time, we are being challenged like never before. I encourage you to dig a little bit deeper and find those additional reserves of patience, kindness, humor and love.
I know it’s not always easy. But as a Central Penn Knight, you’ve proven yourself time and time again as resilient, resourceful and ready to step up when needed. Those qualities are needed now more than ever.
Stay safe. Be kind. Take care.
With warm regards,
Dr. Linda Fedrizzi-Williams
