Dentist Michael Verber Joins Central Penn College Board of Directors
Michael C. Verber, DMD, the CEO and Chairman of Verber Dental Group, has been appointed to serve as a member of Central Penn College’s (CPC) Board of Directors.
Verber has helped to spearhead the college’s dental offerings, which include accelerated training as a dental assistant and a dental treatment coordinator.
A resident of Mechanicsburg, Verber earned his doctorate in dental medicine from Temple University School of Dentistry in 2003, where he was also Class President, Student Council President and the Commencement Speaker. He also earned a Bachelor of Arts from Dickinson College in History in 1999.
He has been the CEO and Chairman of the Verber Dental Group since 2008, employing more than 20 dentists and 250 team members. He maintains seven general dentistry practices, seven specialty practices, a full-service dental lab and a dental plan.
He has also coached boys’ middle school and junior high school basketball for Cumberland Valley School District and has served as a board member for the National MS Society, the Harrisburg Area Dental Society, and the Eagle Foundation, a nonprofit dedicated to supplementing the programs at Cumberland Valley School district. He was also a dental missionary in southwest Haiti in 2002.
A frequently published author, Verber has been hailed as the people’s choice for top dentist in HARRISBURG Magazine, the CARLISLE SENTINEL, SUSQUEHANNA STYLE Magazine, and CENTRAL PENN PARENT Magazine.
He will serve a three-year term on the governing body of Central Penn College, focused on improving academic quality and planning, fiscal and academic integrity, and financial health.
