Dr. Ortiz wins Leadership Harrisburg award

Dr. Hector Ortiz recently received the 2019 Leadership Harrisburg Area Extra Mile Leadership Award for his volunteer efforts. He is the director of Central Penn College’s Graduate Studies program.

Ortiz is heavily involved in the wider Harrisburg community. He has founded several cultural organizations, including Estamos Unidos de Pennsylvania, Latino/Hispanic Professional Association and Dauphin County Diversity Forum. He is a charter member of the Harrisburg Keystone Rotary Club and served as district governor of Rotary International. Ortiz also has held various positions in Toastmasters International, including club president, Area 12 director and Division-A director, District 38.
