Knightly News Club to induct 4 members into the media club hall of fame
Four Central Penn alums who were Knightly News Media Club members will be inducted later this year into the club’s hall of fame.
These members are Brian Christiana, Sherri Long, Christine Fusselman and Nasir Harris. Honoring these members will display the lasting impact they had not only on Central Penn but also on the media club.
The induction of these alums into The Knightly News Media Club Hall of Fame will be held in Central Penn’s Conference Center from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Nov. 9. Please email Paul Miller if you would like to attend the festivities.
Brian Christiana
Christiana was the club president responsible for the formation of the club’s sports broadcasts. He was the public address announcer for Central Penn home basketball games. In addition, Christiana was the co-host of the “Fantasy Football Strategy Guide” for the duration of his time at the college, even continuing to host the show post-graduation. He currently works for iHeartMedia and the Lancaster Barnstormers.
Sherry Long
Long also was a club president. She contributed to the design and production of the media club’s several-times-a-year publication featuring student stories published on The Knightly News blog during each semester. She designed the publications from 2017–2020. Long contributed photos to The Knightly News, too.
Christine Fusselman
Fusselman was a founding member of the club and a vice president and participated in the club’s fundraising program. She shot photos for the club during her membership.
Nasir Harris
Harris, who passed away in 2017, was one of the first club members to produce podcasts. The podcast studio at Central Penn College is named for him.
